Plasticity celebrates and explores the tradition and innovative techniques artists are using to create ceramic art today. This show will be shown on our website in an online gallery formate as well as an in person show at our brick and mortar location in Missoula, MT. Due to Covid-19 we want the opportunity to show the juried work to a larger audience than just our local community. The exhibition will be juried by Molly Rivera

Molly Rivera grew up in the Great Lakes region of the Midwest, where she received her BFA in sculpture and ceramics at the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2017. In 2020, she graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula with a Masters in Fine Art. Her work has been exhibited nationally at galleries such as Northern Clay Center, The Clay Studio of Missoula, and the Archie Bray Foundation, and is part of permanent collections at the Tweed Museum of Art and the Montana Museum of Art and Culture. Additionally, she has instructed several community classes at Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota and in the Fine Arts department at the University of Montana. Rivera co-directed and curated exhibitions for a local nonprofit gallery, FrontierSpace, located in Missoula, MT until 2018. Her work utilizes clay and textiles to explore the effects of time on memories and our attempts to preserve them.
WCS is a new studio and art gallery located in beautiful Missoula, Montana. Gallery hours are currently by appointment only and 5-9pm on the first Friday of every month with capacity limitations to help ensure the safety and health of our residents, visitors, and community.
