One-day Wheel Intro- Drop-in

Class Description

This is designed for beginners to have a fun and casual, drop-in experience of throwing on the wheel with an instructor present to guide/answer questions. 18+yo. BYOB if desired. One fired piece is included in your class fee if you desire to keep one. How it works: -Sign-up via this site to secure a spot. -Show up 5 minutes early to get oriented. -The instructor will start the class with a 10-15 minute demonstration on the basics of centering your clay and throwing a basic form and remain available for guidance as needed until the end of class. If you already feel comfortable with the basics, you can start throwing what you would like! No experience necessary though. -The instructor will give you a ball of clay to start throwing. -Relax and enjoy the process for the evening! FAQ: -What do I wear? Comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little mud on (it won't stain) and have your hair pulled back. We also recommend having short nails, but it isn't essential. -Need more clay? Your instructor can provide it. -Love one of your pieces and you want to keep it? Fill out the form the instructor gives you; we will trim the bottom to a safe depth, dry, fire, and glaze it and email you when it is ready! Kilns are fired a minimum of 1x/month or as soon as one fills, whichever is sooner. -Want to keep more than one piece? Pay $10/additional piece in cash or venmo when you fill out your form. -Want to bring a drink for the evening? Go for it, just don't get sloppy! -Want to bring a child? Sign up for our Family Fun Clay Day instead as this is just for 18+ -Ah I need to cancel! Cancel online 48 hours prior for a full refund. Please note: Pieces not picked up within 1 month after firing is complete will be deemed abandoned and may be tossed/donated/repurposed as we see fit.
